First Year Engineering Graduate Student at the University of Maryland College Park. I am attending school via online while working as a tutor full-time. I received my B.S. in Bioengineering at the University of Maryland and I have been a tutor since I left high school. I enjoy teaching and I like for my students to actually learn based on their capabilities so I utilize an adaptive teaching style. I like to use different tricks for learning such as modified jeopardy to help my student find the fun in learning and studying.
Experience
I have tutored from kindergarten all the way through high school students as well as college students in a diverse number of courses (all levels of math, science, technical English, etc.). I have tutored students in SAT, ACT, GRE, GMAT, and GED enabling them to reach the scores they desire. I am very passionate about helping students not reach only a specific set of goals, but to help them love learning and become successful moving forward in their lives. I have taken AP courses in Chemistry, Biology, Calculus, Language, Literature, and honor classes all the core subjects (English, science, social studies, and math). I performed three internships at some of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world such as Merck & Company, MedImmune/AstraZeneca, and GlaxoSmithKline (GSK).
